Form requirements

  • Passengers aged 12 years and older travelling to Sierra Leona must register online and pay for a PCR test (diagnostic test) which will be conducted on arrival. They must also upload the pre-departure PCR test result.

Test requirements

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 12 years and older must hold a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to departure
  • Vaccinated passengers: Test is not required for passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Quarantine and testing on arrival

  • All passengers will be subject to Covid-19 screening on arrival including temperature check and basic health and travel history questions. This does not apply to holders of diplomatic passports.
  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 12 years and older will be subject to a PCR test on arrival and will receive the test result within 24-72 hours.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Test is not required for passengers who hold proof that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least 14 days prior to departure.

Exit restrictions

  • Passengers aged 12 years and older departing Sierra Leone must register online, and pay via TravelGov or via Orange/Afrimoney and obtain a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to departure or sooner as per test requirements of the destination country. Passengers must show a hard copy or a downloaded digital copy on their smart phone. Passengers who receive a positive result will not be permitted to travel and must quarantine for 2 weeks.
    • The requirement to hold a negative PCR test certificate on departure does not apply to passengers who flew into Sierra Leone within 5 days prior to their departure date.
