Vaccination requirements

  • Passengers aged 6 years and older travelling to or departing from Uganda must hold proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least 14 days after receiving the last dose (the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single-dose vaccine). The vaccination certificate must include the passenger's name, age, gender, date of vaccination(s), batch number of vaccine, name of vaccine, manufacturer of vaccine, dose, and vaccination site.

Test requirements

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 5 years and older must hold a negative PCR test result tested within 72 hours prior to travel.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Test is not required for passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Quarantine and testing on arrival

  • Passengers will be subject to Covid-19 health screening on arrival.

Exit requirements

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 5 years or older departing Uganda must hold a valid negative PCR test certificate that indicates the test is for travel purposes obtained within 72 hours prior to departure, or less if required by the destination country.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Test on departure is not required for passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, except where it is a requirement of the destination country or the carrier airline.
