Quarantine requirement at government designated site or own accommodation. Authorities will cut COVID-19 quarantine to seven days for all arrivals from 9 May.

Starting from 9 May 2022, the mandatory quarantine period for international arrivals in Taiwan will be reduced from 10 to 7 days, followed by a 7 day self-health management period. The quarantine requirements from this date will remain the same as those recorded below, however, you will be required to undergo a rapid COVID-19 test on the seventh day of your quarantine.

Passengers will be able to choose whether they wish to complete their mandatory quarantine at their residential property, a quarantine hotel or a designated quarantine facility.

Passengers who are eligible and choose to complete their mandatory quarantine at their residential property rather than a quarantine hotel or a designated quarantine facility will be required to declare that their residence complies with quarantine requirements.

Any individual who receives a positive COVID-19 test will not be permitted to quarantine at their residential property or proposed quarantine hotel in Taiwan. Individuals with mild symptoms will be admitted into an enhanced centralised quarantine centre or hotel for their mandatory quarantine. Any individual with more severe symptoms may be hospitalised..
