Covid-19 Vaccination - Not required
The Vaccine Certificate is only valid if:
Proof of full vaccination.
Validity: between 14 and 270 days (9 months) after the primary vaccination series was completed, or after the booster dose. For people younger than 18, the validity of vaccination certificates with a full primary series is valid indefinitely.
Accepted vaccines - see the accepted vaccines on Traveltomalta.gov.mt: - Vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Comirnaty (Pfizer), Janssen, Spikevax (Moderna), Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), Nuvaxovid (NVX - CoV2373).
- Primary full series with vaccines accepted under the World Health Organization (WHO)'s Emergency Use Listing, provided that, in addition, travellers also provide a negative result to a pre-departure molecular (PCR) test, valid 72 hours.
- Primary full series with vaccines accepted by the WHO and booster dose with a vaccine approved by EMA.
The following documents are accepted as proof of vaccination:
- An 'EU Digital COVID Certificate' (EUDCC) or equivalent documents, meeting the requirements listed above.
- Other certificates meeting the same validity requirements as the EUDCC and with vaccines listed on Traveltomalta.gov.mt.
