Entry restrictions

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 are not permitted to enter Montserrat.
  • Vaccinated passengers: This does not apply to passengers who are vaccinated against Covid-19 and have received 2 doses of a 2-dose vaccine or 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine at least 14 days prior to entry, provided they intend to remain in Montserrat for less than 90 days.
  • Other exempt passengers:
    • Montserratians and their spouses and dependants, even if they are travelling separately from their Montserratian family member;
    • Residents of Montserrat or those who own a home on Montserrat, including their spouses and dependants even if they are travelling separately from their Montserratian family member, as long as they resided in Montserrat for any period of time prior to 16 March 2020;
    • Aircraft crew members;
    • Officers of the court who are entering for the purpose of appearing in or presiding over court hearings;
    • Passengers who are the family member a deceased person who are entering Montserrat to attend the funeral and for other purposes related to the death. This includes parents, children, siblings, and grandchildren;
    • Passengers who have been granted a remote employment stamp; or
    • Passengers who have obtained a permission for entry prior to travelling to Montserrat.

Form requirements

  • Non-resident technicians who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must submit a completed Access Declaration Form online at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Test requirements

  • Passengers aged 5 years and older must hold a negative PCR or RNA test obtained within 3 days prior to arrival.
  • This does not apply to the following passengers:
    • Passengers entering Montserrat in circumstances related to a medical evacuation;
    • Passenger granted permission to enter Montserrat for the purpose of aiding with preparations for a disaster or after a disaster.

Quarantine and testing on arrival

  • All passengers will be subject to Covid-19 testing on arrival.
  • Unvaccinated passengers: 10 days on arrival. Passengers will be subject to a Covid-19 test between day 8 and 10 of quarantine and will be released from quarantine provided a negative result is received.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Quarantine is not required if a negative result is received from the on arrival test. If an inconclusive result is received, the passenger must quarantine until a result is received. If a positive result is received, the passenger must quarantine until they are no longer infected with Covid-19 or until they depart Montserrat.
  • Passengers aged younger than 18 years must follow the same requirements as their accompanying adult. Children aged 2 years and younger are not required to take a Covid-19 test.
  • Other exempt passengers (from quarantine):
    • Attorneys-at-law, judges, or other officers of the court who intend to come to Montserrat for the purpose of appearing in or presiding over court proceedings;
    • Crew members of aircraft or ships (including freight, cargo or courier craft or vessels). Unvaccinated pilots who fly to Montserrat on a regular basis must submit to Covid-19 testing every 14 days;
    • Non-resident technicians, provided having been granted permission to enter Montserrat prior to travel. Fully vaccinated non-resident technicians must take a PCR test or an RNA test within 24 hours after arrival; or
    • Passengers who have been granted permission by the Minister to enter Montserrat for the purpose of aiding with preparations for a disaster or after a disaster.

  • All passengers will be allowed to end quarantine earlier only if they leave Montserrat.
