Entry restrictions

  • Passengers must hold entry and exit approval from Nicaraguan authorities. This can be obtained by either completing an Information Form here, or downloading the form and submitting it via email to solicitudes@migob.gob.ni. The form must be submitted at least 7 days prior to arrival in or departure from Nicaragua.
    • This does not apply to nationals of Nicaragua
  • Passengers who have a fever or respiratory symptoms on arrival will not be allowed to enter Nicaragua.
    • This does not apply to nationals or residents of Nicaragua.

Test requirements

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers must hold a negative RT-PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival. Passengers travelling from Africa, Asia, and Oceania must hold a negative RT-PCR test result obtained within 92 hours prior to arrival. Passengers must hold a digital or printed copy of the test result on arrival.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Test is not required for passengers who hold proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with at least 2 doses of a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization or by the Nicaraguan government (Abdala, AstraZeneca, Coviran, Covishield, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Soberana, Sputnik V), 2 doses of different vaccines, or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson or Sputnik Light.

Quarantine requirements

  • Nationals or residents of Nicaragua displaying symptoms of Covid-19 must quarantine on arrival as per the Ministry of Health protocols.
