Entry rules in response to coronavirus (COVID-19)

Entry to Micronesia

Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) re-opened its border on 1 August 2022. Anyone who wishes to travel to FSM will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster doses if eligible, and must have physical possession of a negative COVID-19 test result, conducted via a PCR test within 72 hours of their departure from Hawaii or Guam to the FSM.

Those planning to travel to Micronesia should familiarise themselves with the latest rules on international travel and any COVID-19 measures in effect at border entry points.

Regular entry requirements

Tourist/visitor visas are issued on arrival and the duration of stay is authorised for the number of days requested. You may extend your visa by up to 30 days. Subsequent extensions may be granted for another 30 days but the total time of stay shall not exceed 90 days. There is no fee charged for an extension of stay.
