Entry restrictions
- Flights to the Solomon Islands are currently suspended.
- This does not apply to flights approved by the Solomon Islands government.
Entry requirements
- Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers are not permitted to enter the Solomon Islands.
- Vaccinated passengers: This does not apply to passengers aged 18 years or older who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have completed their vaccination at least 4 weeks prior to departure. Passengers must send a copy of the vaccine certificate and the Pre-departure questionnaire to the National Health Emergency Operational Centre at nheoc_repat@moh.gov.sb for verification at least 5 days prior to travel.
- Passengers must also quarantine for 7 days prior to travel.
Authorisation requirements
- Passengers must apply for travel authorisation at jremobatu@pmc.go.sb and Cornelius.Walegerea@mfaet.gov.sb prior to travelling. Passengers must pay the processing fee of SB$2,000 and submit the required documents, including proof of vaccination and the negative pre-departure test result.
- The payment requirement does not apply to the following passengers:
- Diplomatic missions;
- International organisations;
- National priority projects;
- State owned enterprises; and
- UN agencies.
- Nationals and residents of Solomon Islands may return after 1 month outside the Solomon Islands. The Border Opening Committee will decide their application on case-by-case basis if they return within less than 1 month.
Form requirements
- Passengers must complete a Traveller’s Public Health Declaration Card on arrival.
Test requirements
- Passengers aged 18 years or older arriving from Covid-19 Free Countries/Territories must hold a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival.
- Passengers aged 18 years or older arriving from Covid-19 Affected Countries/Territories must hold a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival and a second PCR or rapid antigen test obtained within 12 hours prior to departure.
Quarantine and testing on arrival
- Passengers aged 18 years or older arriving from Covid-19 Free Countries/Territories must quarantine for 7 days on arrival, and will be subject to a Covid-19 test on day 6 or 7 after arrival. Families travelling with children aged younger than 18 years must quarantine for 10 days on arrival.
- Passengers aged 18 years or older arriving from or transiting through Covid Affected Countries/Territories must quarantine for 10 days on arrival and will be subject to Covid-19 testing on day 5-7 and day 9-10 after arrival. Families travelling with children aged younger than 18 years must quarantine for 10 days on arrival.

Covid-19 Free Countries/Regions
- Countries or territories where:
- There has never been a confirmed case of a person infected with Covid-19;
- The only reported cases of persons infected with Covid-19 have been in managed quarantine facilities and there is no evidence of persons being infected with Covid-19 by community transmission; or
- If there has been community transmission, there has been no reported cases of persons infected with Covid-19 by community transmission for 180 days.
Covid Affected Countries/Territories
- All other countries.
