The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE) recommended the adoption of preventive measures and careful consideration of travelling; especially to the most affected areas. In this scope; MNE advised against any travel to Hubei province and to different regions of Italy and against non-essential travel to other parts of China; Iran and South Korea (cities of Daegu and Cheongdo and province of Gyeongsang-buk). Quarantine:
Travellers are advised to be especially aware of areas with sustained community transmission and to follow instructions from the Directorate-General of Health and Health Authorities in the destination countries. People who return from affected areas are advised to minimise social contact; to remain aware of the symptoms of the infection and to measure body temperature twice a day and record the values; and if symptoms develop within 14 days of travel; to call to the national health hotline; reporting their travel history to the health professional; and to follow given instuctions; and not to go directly to health services.

Schools/Univercity closure:
The Prime Minister announced today that for students up until the 9th year; the entire third period will continue with distance learning; with assessment; but without tests or exams. On 19/05/2020: resumption of 11th and 12th grade high school face-to-face classes between 10 am and 5 pm; with mandatory use of face mask. 18 May: 11th and 12th years (last 2 years of high school) reopen. School year 2020/2021 (high school level) started in-person between 14 and 17 of September (fourth URL). Several measures are still in place (physical distancing; mask wearing; increased hygiene); but schools are open.
