Only clients with COVID Digital Certificate (or a test with a negative result) can access gambling establishments; casinos; bingos; group classes at gyms or similar establishments; 23/08/2021: It is necessary to present a COVID Digital Certificate or proof of negative test for the following situations: i) Air and sea travel ii) Meals inside restaurants (applicable only on Fridays; from 7 pm; on weekends and holidays); iii) Access to tourist establishments and local accommodation; iv) Access to gyms; for group classes; v) Access to spas and spas; vi) Access to casinos and bingos; vii) Access to events with more than 1 000 people abroad and 500 indoors; viii) Assistance to weddings and baptisms with more than 10 people; 01/12/2021: The presentation of the digital certificate will be mandatory when accessing: Restaurants; Tourist establishments and local accommodation; Events with marked places and; Gyms; 06/01/2022: Cultural shows are also added to the list of places where the presentation of the digital certificate is mandatory for access; 17/02/2022: No longer requiring a digital certificate. It remains though mandatory for home visits and visits to inpatients in health care establishments.

Requirement for mandatory negative test (even for vaccinated people) for nursing home visits; visits to patients admitted to healthcare facilities; large events without marked seats (or in improvised venues); sports venues and discos and bars; 06/01/2022: negative result of the COVID-19 test not needed anymore for access to discos and bars; 17/02/2022: No longer requiring a negative test for access to major events; sports venues; bars and nightclubs. It remains though mandatory for home visits and visits to inpatients in health care establishments.

Proof of full vaccination. Validity: between 14 and 270 days after the full primary vaccination series was administered, or after the booster dose. Accepted vaccines in mainland Portugal and Azores: vaccines authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), Sinopharm (VeroCell), Sinovac (Coronavac), Bharat Biotech International (Covaxin), Verity Pharmaceuticals, Fiocruz, R-Pharm. Accepted vaccines in Madeira islands: Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), Comirnaty (BioNTech and Pfizer), Spikevax (Moderna), Janssen, Sinovac/Instituto Butantan, Gamaleya (Sputnik V), Sinopharm (VeroCell).

Proof of full vaccination (valid between 14 and 270 days after the full primary vaccination series was administered, or after the booster dose), or proof of recovery from COVID-19, valid 180 days, issued under reciprocal conditions by one of the following countries and territories: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Benin, Cabo Verde, El Salvador, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, San Marino, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the British Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man), Uruguay, the Vatican.
