Public Place:
All events are banned with the exception of religious ceremonies and sport events without public.
16/03/2020: On 11 March 2020; the Government prohibited any public events and gatherings. This affects sports events; cultural events; scientific events; protests; congregations or any forms of public gatherings indoor and outdoor.
Casino's; nightclubs; discos and similar entertainment venues are closed; except for those with vaccination / immunity certificate.
Gyms and sport centres are open for those with vaccination / immunity certificate. For the rest they are still closed except for employees.
All private gatherings over 10 people are banned with the exception of funerals; where up to 50 people are allowed; and weddings without party with the presence of a restricted group of people.
01/05/2021: restaurants/cafes can be visited indoors/outdoors with vaccination/immunity certificate. People without vaccination/immunity certificate can only use the facilities outdoors.; 22/05/2021: there are no more COVID-19 related restrictions regarding the opening hours of restaurant/cafes.; 07/03/2022: no certificate or other requirements.

Indoor events can be visited only by individuals with the vaccination/immunity certificate; and they can be accompanied by kids; that are under their supervision. Exemptions are granted for specific sports events; where visitors with a negative PCR test performed not earlier than 72 hours before the event are accepted.; 07/03/2022 Restrictions on events are lifted.;
Individuals without a vaccination/immunity certificate cannot visit outdoor events over 500 people. -As from 14/06/2021; the so called village days; which are outdoor events in villages can be held with 1500 people regardless off immunity; 07/07/2021: No relaxation for sporting events; music-dance events or other events held indoors or outdoors for more than 500 people; the same rules remain in place; ie the number of employees will remain limited and they will only be able to attend with a security certificate. Even under 18s can only attend these events with a security certificate or under the supervision of a protected person.; 07/03/2022 Restrictions on events will be lifted; and a security card will no longer be required for sports events; cultural events; music and dance events; and outdoor events for more than 500 people.;

The organization of indoor and outdoor events and meetings is prohibited; regardless of the number of people. The only exceptions to this are religious community rites; civil marriages; and funerals

It is mandatory to wear protective masks in all public places in communities with more than 10 000 inhabitants. Update on 8/03/2021: It is mandatory to wear protective masks in all public places in urban zones. Exception: Children under 6 years of age; individuals with cognitive; psychosocial or autistic spectrum disorder. Mask is not mandatory when practicing individual sport activities.
Closure of hospitals and other healthcare facilties for visitors. Visiting restrictions put in place at hospitals and homes for the elderly
As from 24 April 2021; outdoor cafes; restaurants; bars (so-called 'terraces') can be open until 21:30. Indoor places remain closed for staying (take-away allowed).
A daily shopping slot for citizens older than 65 is reintroduced: Between 9am and 11am on weekdays and 8am and 10am on weekends; customers below the age of 65 are banned from shopping in grocery shops; household chemists and pharmacies.
Visiting restrictions put in place at hospitals for departments treating COVID-19 patients and homes for the elderly only if there is a COVID-19 case.
Non essential shops and places offering non essential services that require physical presence must be closed.
Shops must be closed between 19:00-05:00; every day. Other service providers (ex. hairdressers; personal trainers) can stay open in accordance with the curfew order.

As from 4 May 2020 it is mandatory to cover the face (both nose and mouth) with mask; scarf or shawl in shops; stores and public transport. As from 21 September 2020 it is mandatory to cover the face (both nose and mouth) with a mask (surgical; protective or textile-) in public transport; in cinemas; theaters; health and social institutions and public offices; as of age 6.
