People who can prove that are recovered from COVID-19 are exempted from contact quarantine; 16/08/2021: events and companies will be able to use Covid-19 certificates. This means that a 'reduced protection concept' can be used for vaccinated; tested or recovered visitors and guests; provided that access is restricted to people with a certificate; 15/09/2021: A certificate that proves vaccination; recovery or a negative test is compulsory for restaurants; bars and clubs as well as for discos; dance halls and businesses in the fields of culture; entertainment and leisure. In outdoor areas; the request for a certificate is optional. Events with more than 50 people may only be held with participants who have a valid Covid-19 certificate. Events with fewer than 50 people; as well as religious events and funerals; are not subject to the certificate requirement.; 03/12/2021 The limit for the certificate requirement for outdoor events will be reduced from 1;000 to 300 people.; 07/12/2021 A certificate is required also for private events with more than ten people.; 01/04/2022 The remaining measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic and the Covid-19 daily allowance expire on Thursday; March 31st.;

The EU Digital COVID Certificate (available as of 1 July 2021) provides proof that a person has either:

been vaccinated against COVID-19 (vaccine type and manufacturer, number of doses, date of vaccination);

received a negative test result, PCR or rapid antigen, with the name of the test, date and time of test, test centre and result (self-tests are not valid);

recovered from COVID-19 (positive PCR test result valid for 180 days).

When travelling, holders of the EU Digital COVID Certificate will have the same rights as citizens of the visited Member State who have been vaccinated, tested or recovered.
