Entry restrictions

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 12 and older who are not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are not permitted to enter Cayman Islands. 
  • Vaccinated passengers: This does not apply to passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and their accompanying children.
  • Other exempt passengers: 
    • Caymanians, permanent residents, and their families;
    • Passengers who own residential property or business in the Cayman Islands;
    • Passengers with close family ties to residents (spouses, fiancés, parents, grandparents and siblings).

Vaccination requirements

  • Passengers are considered fully vaccinated against Covid-19 if they hold proof (QR code on a mobile device or physical copy) that they have completed an approved vaccine course (AstraZeneca, Covishield, Covaxin, Covovax, Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac) at least 14 days prior to arrival. Mixed doses of approved vaccines taken at least 8 weeks apart are accepted.

Form requirements

  • Passengers aged 5 years and older must have obtained pre-approval to travel via Travel Cayman.
    • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers must apply for authorisation at least 5 days prior to departure.
    • Vaccinated passengers: Passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must apply for authorisation at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Insurance requirements

  • Passengers must sign a statement that they either hold health insurance that includes Covid-19 coverage or that they have independent means to cover their medical, accommodation and travel costs.

Test requirements

  • Passengers aged 5 years and older must hold a negative PCR or antigen rapid diagnostic test obtained from an accredited laboratory within 1 day prior to departure. The test must include the name and date of birth of the passenger, name, contact number, and credentials of the laboratory, date of sample collection and test, and the type of test, and sample.
    • The date of departure includes connecting flights, provided the passengers has not transited in any country for more than 12 hours.

Quarantine requirements

  • Unvaccinated passengers: Passengers aged 12 years and older must quarantine for 7 days on arrival and must take a PCR test to end quarantine. This also applies to unvaccinated household members.
  • Vaccinated passengers: Quarantine is not required for passengers who hold proof that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have received confirmation from the Travel Cayman application.
