Those aged 70 years and older; immunocompromised patients and people with chronic conditions (including hypertension; diabetes; cardiovascular diseases; cancer or chronic respiratory diseases) are subject to a special duty of protection. On 4 of May small shops < 200 m2, hairdressers, libraries, and automobile stands reopen with specific anti-COVID restriction measures; masks become obligatory inside all shops; access to hairdressers and similar only by appointment. On 18 of May shops < 400 m2 and Restaurants reopen with specific anti-COVID restriction measures. On 1 June stores with an area greater than 400 m2 or inserted in shopping centers reopen (exception made for the Region Lisboa e Vale do Tejo); All stores with an area greater than 400 m2 or inserted in shopping centers reopen also for the Region Lisboa e Vale do Tejo from 15 June onwards.
