The EU Digital COVID Certificate (available as of 1 July 2021) provides proof that a person has either:
- Entry from a country or area of variant concern: Vaccines authorised by Swissmedic and the European Medicines Agency are valid for 270 days from the 22nd day of administration in full. Holders of vaccines authorised by the WHO emergency list are eligible to apply for a Swiss COVID-19 certificate.
- Entry from a high-risk country requires proof of vaccination or, if under 18, travel with an adult. Vaccines authorised by Swissmedic and the European Medicines Agency are valid for 270 days. Holders of vaccines authorised by the WHO emergency list are eligible to apply for a Swiss COVID certificate.
