Bulgaria’s capital imposes curfew on restaurants and bars Bulgaria introduces new restrictions: -Shut down night clubs, discos, piano bars and other similar indoor entertainment establishments. The organisation of tourist excursions or group visits to tourist sites was also suspended. -A number of other activities were sectors would face increased restrictions, but were not outright shut down. -Restaurants and cafes are required to increase physical distancing to at least 1.5 metres between the backs of the closest two chairs at separate tables. Staff and customers are required to wear masks at all times. -Shops and administrative buildings are required to limit the number of visitors to no more than one person per three square metres. In Sofia city and Blagoevgrad, Pernik, Shoumen and Sliven districts from 25 October is ordering night clubs to close for two weeks. In Varna from October 30 to November 13, discos, night clubs and night bars are ordered to be closed. Planned operations in hospitals in the Varna district are suspended until November 30. Pensioners’ clubs in the district must be shut from October 27 to November 10. Weddings and baptisms in the Varna district may be attended by no more than 10 people. In Rousse’s district, classified as a “red zone”, from October 28 to November, discos, piano bars, night bars, clubs and other similar places of entertainment must be closed. All indoor and outdoor events are prohibited. Weddings, baptisms and other similar events will be allowed indoors, but provided that no more than 30 people gather in one place. From midnight on October 22, a new rule to limit the spread of Covid-19 in Bulgaria will come into effect, that restaurants, bars and discos may only have half their capacity filled. The new rule is that there may be one customer per two square metres, a change from the rule that allowed one customer per square metre.
