12/05/2020 It will be possible to organize non-contact sports trainings or classes in person; observing the following conditions: no more than 25 people may gather in one training group at the same time; indoor training time - three hours; outdoors - an unlimited period of time; the class shall be led by a certified coach; a mutual distance of two meters has to be observed; the areas of different training groups should not physically overlap; children under the age of seven do not participate in training; instructions of the manager of the sports venue and the coach should be followed; other physical distancing and epidemiological safety measures which will be developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health have to be observed.

3/12/2020; on-site indoor sports training may only take place for Latvian adult national team; Olympic professional and Paralympic team athletes and adult professional athletes of international and top league team sports teams (professionals whose main occupation is sports). Other indoor sports training may take place only individually or in pairs with a coach; while group training for up to 10 people may only take place outdoors. There will also be stricter requirements for sports activities ; where indoor sports will still be allowed only individually or one-on-one with a coach. 12/05/2020: Up to 25 people gatherings indoors for no longer than 3 hours are allowed if all rules are applied e.g. 2 meters distance; 2 people (more if the same household and parents with kids). If it is possible to ensure a distance of two meters and other safety rules set by epidemiologists; indoor and outdoor gatherings of up to 25 persons will be allowed for public and private events; as well as meetings; processions; and pickets. In addition; organized religious activities will also be allowed. In private events at home; the area of the apartment should be taken into account in order not to exceed the proper number of persons; corresponding with the instructions of epidemiologists.

The maximum number of ppl. in each table should be 4 with a 3 meters distance between tables. The working hours are 6.00 - 21.00. ; 21/10/21 Catering can work around the clock to provide food for pick-up or delivery. At least 15 m2 per person must be maintained indoors at the place of receiving the service. All persons must maintain a distance of 2 m and wear face masks properly. Going to a 24-hour catering place to get a takeout meal between 20:00 and 5:00 is not a valid reason to be away from the place of residence unless the person is on duty or performs work responsibilities on-site in the evening and at night. The use of the food delivery service is suggested when possible. ; 07/12/2021 No more than four adults can be at the same table with minors; but no more than 10 people together.; 23/12/2021 On New Year's Eve; only persons with a Covid-19 vaccination or disease certificate; which is strictly checked; may provide and receive catering services in person. It is also a condition that no more than 4 adults and their accompanying children can be at the same table; but no more than 10 people in total. Children under the age of 12 do not need to be certified; while children under the age of 12 must have a negative Covid-19 test certificate or a school screening test that is less than 72 hours old. Service providers must ensure a distance of at least 2 meters between persons sitting at different tables if there are no partitions. At the same time; all existing general epidemiological safety requirements must be observed - distance; hand hygiene and disinfection; ventilation; face masks (except for visitors sitting at the table and children under 7 years of age).; 01/03/2022 The restriction on the number of people at the tables has been lifted. ;01/04/2022 All services are available to everyone without additional safety requirements.

10 people and no more than two households will be able to gather at private events at the same time. This means that people living in two separate homes can come together; but not a group of friends where everyone lives in a different place. The exception is a funeral; where 10 people from different households can still gather. Meetings; marches and pickets outside will be allowed; provided they do not have more than 50 people; in order not to restrict the right to express one's opinion.;3/12/2020; everyone in Latvia must follow the 2 + 2 principle in their daily routine - two meters; two people. So a distance of two meters must be observed and meetings must be limited to two people. Indoor gatherings are allowed only with COVID-19 certificates. ; 21/10/21 Private events can take place within one household at the place of residence. Representatives of two households may meet to: provide care for a person; provide support to a single person (living alone in a household); parents whose minor children live in another household can meet with the children (unless isolation; home quarantine; self-isolation is required). A baptismal ceremony is held in case of emergency: up to 10 people from no more than 2 households may meet in a baptismal ceremony; the number of 10 persons does not include persons related to the provision of baptism; everyone from the age of 7 wears face masks properly. Marriage registration is only allowed in the presence of the persons wishing to marry and two adult witnesses; official or cleric of the Registry Office must have a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery certificate; attending persons must use face masks properly; as well as observe all safety precautions. Funeral ceremonies can take place outdoors; up to 20 persons may gather for a funeral ceremony; the number of 20 persons does not include persons related to the provision of the funeral ceremony; everyone from the age of 7 wears face masks properly. A private VEHICLE can carry members from one household or two people; each from their own household. Up to three persons from several households only in special circumstances (e.g. if a minor is accompanied). Only specific groups can travel together in a private vehicle; going to the place of work or service; or returning to the place of residence (e.g. medical practitioners or employees of the police); everyone must properly use face masks throughout the trip. In general; people are encouraged not to gather and not to meet people outside one’s household. ; 01/03/2022 Weddings; funerals; baptisms are allowed with up to 250 people. The number of people at indoor and outdoor private events increases to 50 people. ; 01/04/2022 There are no longer restrictions on the number of people gathering.

Die Kapazität kann bis zu 85 % betragen, wenn Fahrgäste an Haltestellen außerhalb der Ziele von Regionallinien abgeholt werden sollen. ; 21.10.21 Der öffentliche Stadt- und Vorortverkehr ist in Betrieb, ohne 50 % seiner Kapazität zu überschreiten. wenn es nicht möglich ist, den Ein- und Ausstieg von Fahrgästen im Fahrzeug zu kontrollieren; Sitzplätze darin sind zu kennzeichnen; Sicherstellung der Abstandsvorgaben; Fenster zum Lüften sind ebenfalls während der gesamten Fahrt offen zu halten. Die Kapazität des regionalen und überörtlichen öffentlichen Verkehrs beträgt bis zu 80 % (85 %, wenn es erforderlich ist, Fahrgäste an Haltestellen außerhalb der Strecken von regionaler Bedeutung aufzunehmen). Das Taxi kann einen Passagier befördern; Mitglieder desselben Haushalts; oder ein Passagier mit einem minderjährigen Kind oder eine Person, die Hilfe benötigt. Von 20:00 bis 5:00 Uhr ein Taxidienst und ein gewerblicher Autotransportdienst; sowie vom Arbeitgeber bereitgestellte Transportmittel können genutzt werden: zur Fahrt zur oder von der Arbeit; Zugang zum Ort des Personenverkehrs am Flughafen; Hafen; Bahnhof; oder Busbahnhof; Rückkehr zum Wohnort; zu oder von einer 24-Stunden-Apotheke gehen; psychologische Betreuungs- oder Behandlungseinrichtung; oder veterinärmedizinische Einrichtung. ; 01.11.2022 Maßnahme verlängert bis 28.02.2022. ; 25.01.2022 FFP2-Masken sind in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln obligatorisch; Taxen; und Personenbeförderung mit dem Auto; außer für Vorschulkinder unter sieben Jahren; sowie Personen mit offensichtlichen Mobilitäts- oder psychischen Störungen. ; 01.03.2022 Einschränkungen der ÖPNV-Kapazität entfallen. Die Pflicht zur Verwendung von FFP2-Masken gilt weiterhin. ; 01.04.2022 Die Maskenpflicht gilt weiterhin.

10.07.2020 Obligatorische Verwendung von Gesichtsmasken in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in ganz Lettland; 14.10.2020 Gesichtsmasken sind an Verkaufsstellen (Geschäften, Tankstellen und anderen Orten) erforderlich; Bahnhöfe; Bushaltestelle; Flughäfen; sowie kulturelle und religiöse Stätten. Ausnahmen gelten dort, wo die Verwendung von Masken nicht möglich ist; wie Schwimmbäder; Wasserparks; Saunen; und ähnliche Orte. ;03.12.2020 Kita-Mitarbeiter müssen zu jeder Zeit Masken tragen. ;10.11.2021 Gesichtsmasken sollten von allen Schülern und Pädagogen in Innenräumen verwendet werden; außer bei Vorschulkindern. ;21.10.21 Alle Personen müssen beim Empfang von Catering-Dienstleistungen in Innenräumen ordnungsgemäß Gesichtsmasken tragen. ;25.01.2022 Personen sind verpflichtet, bei der Arbeit eine medizinische Gesichtsmaske oder Atemschutzmaske ohne Sicherheitsklasse FFP2 - FFP3 oder KN95 zu tragen; in einem Laden; in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder an einem anderen öffentlichen Ort. Nur Kinder zwischen 7 und 12 Jahren dürfen eine nicht-medizinische (Stoff-)Maske verwenden. ;01.04.2022 Die Verwendung von FFP2-Masken bleibt in medizinischen und sozialen Einrichtungen für Besucher und Personal obligatorisch; im öffentlichen Verkehr; mit Ausnahme von Taxis und anderer gewerblicher Personenbeförderung. Masken oder Atemschutzmasken müssen an anderer Stelle nicht getragen werden.

Masken und Atemschutzmasken werden für bestimmte Berufe empfohlen und sollten für diejenigen priorisiert werden, die mit Patienten arbeiten, bei denen eine SARS-CoV-2-Infektion bestätigt wurde. Medizinische Masken werden auch bei Patienten verwendet, um die Tröpfchen von infizierten Personen zu stoppen, um die Ausbreitung der Infektion zu begrenzen. ;20.4.2020 Für die breite Öffentlichkeit werden Masken empfohlen, wenn es nicht möglich ist, 2 Meter Abstand zu gewährleisten, z. Geschäfte; öffentliche Verkehrsmittel etc. Personengruppen wird ebenfalls empfohlen, Gesichtsmasken und/oder Atemschutzmasken zu verwenden.

15.11.2021 Kulturelle Veranstaltungen werden wieder aufgenommen und können nur von geimpften oder von COVID-19 genesenen mit verstärkten Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und der Verwendung von Gesichtsmasken sowohl drinnen als auch draußen besucht werden. Die max. Teilnehmerzahl beträgt 500.; 23.12.2021 Es besteht ein Verbot aller Freizeitaktivitäten und der Erbringung von Unterhaltungsdiensten in Innenräumen; auch in Cafés; Restaurants und Bars; wie Tänze; Sehenswürdigkeiten; Spiele; etc.; und Nachtclubs sind nicht erlaubt.; 01.06.2022 Die maximale Besucherzahl bei Kulturveranstaltungen bleibt bei 500. Der Besuch von Veranstaltungen mit Erwachsenen, die einen Impf- oder Krankheitsnachweis haben, ist auch für Minderjährige möglich. Kinder unter 12 Jahren müssen nicht auf Covid-19 getestet werden; während Kinder über 12 Jahren keine Covid-19-Impfung vorweisen müssen; Krankheits- oder Testbescheinigung; oder ein Laborzertifikat für einen negativen Suchtest in den letzten 72 Stunden; 16.02.2022 Kinder sind von der Testerbringung ausgenommen; Impfung; Krankheitsbescheinigung, um an Veranstaltungen teilzunehmen und Dienste auch ohne Anwesenheit von Erwachsenen im „grünen“ Modus zu nutzen. ; 01.03.2022 Indoor-Attraktionen und Unterhaltungsstätten; wie Spielstätten und Nachtclubs; Wiederaufnahme des Betriebs in einer epidemiologisch sicheren oder „grünen“ Umgebung. Die obligatorische Anforderung von Covid-19-Bescheinigungen für die Erbringung und den Bezug von Dienstleistungen wird bis zum 1. April aufrechterhalten. ; 01.04.2022 Alle Covid-19 epidemiologischen Sicherheitsanforderungen für die Durchführung von Veranstaltungen; Betrieb von Kulturstätten aufgehoben. Das COVID-19-Zertifikat ist nicht mehr obligatorisch.

10 Personen und nicht mehr als zwei Haushalte können sich gleichzeitig bei privaten Veranstaltungen versammeln. Das bedeutet, dass Menschen, die in zwei getrennten Haushalten leben, zusammenkommen können; aber keine Gruppe von Freunden, wo jeder an einem anderen Ort lebt. Die Ausnahme ist eine Beerdigung; wo sich noch 10 Personen aus verschiedenen Haushalten versammeln können. Sitzungen; Märsche und Streikposten im Freien sind erlaubt; sofern sie nicht mehr als 50 Personen haben; um das Recht auf freie Meinungsäußerung nicht einzuschränken.;12.03.2020; Jeder in Lettland muss in seinem Alltag das 2 + 2-Prinzip befolgen - zwei Meter; zwei Menschen. So ist ein Abstand von zwei Metern einzuhalten und Versammlungen auf zwei Personen zu beschränken. Bis 01.11.2021; alle Kulturstätten; Ausstellungen; sowie Messen; einschließlich Weihnachtsmärkte; wurden ausgesetzt. Bibliotheken dürfen Bücher zur Abholung ausgeben und; unterliegen epidemiologischen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen; Museen stehen den Besuchern weiterhin zur Verfügung. Außer innerhalb eines Haushalts dürfen keine privaten Veranstaltungen stattfinden. Organisierte Treffen; Streikposten und Märsche können noch stattfinden; es dürfen jedoch maximal 25 Personen teilnehmen; vorbehaltlich epidemiologischer Sicherheitsauflagen - einem körperlichen Abstand von zwei Metern und vorbehaltlich der Auflagen des Veranstalters. Bei Beerdigungen und Taufen; nicht mehr als 10 Personen (mit Ausnahme der direkt Beteiligten) dürfen sich im Freien versammeln; aus nicht mehr als zwei Haushalten; Masken verwenden. Zwei Haushalte (bis zu zehn Personen) können sich im Freien treffen.; 14.07.2021 Private Versammlungen bis zu 50 Personen können nur im Freien abgehalten werden, wenn die 14-tägige kumulative Fallzahl <100/100.000 Personen beträgt. Versammlungen in Innenräumen sind nur mit COVID-19-Zertifikaten erlaubt. ; 21.10.21 Private Veranstaltungen können innerhalb eines Haushalts am Wohnort stattfinden. Vertreter von zwei Haushalten können sich treffen, um: eine Person zu pflegen; Unterstützung einer einzelnen Person (allein in einem Haushalt lebend); Eltern, deren minderjährige Kinder in einem anderen Haushalt leben, können sich mit den Kindern treffen (sofern nicht Isolation; häusliche Quarantäne; Selbstisolation erforderlich ist). Im Notfall findet eine Taufzeremonie statt: Bis zu 10 Personen aus höchstens 2 Haushalten dürfen sich zu einer Taufzeremonie treffen; die Zahl von 10 Personen beinhaltet keine Personen, die mit der Durchführung der Taufe in Verbindung stehen; jeder ab 7 Jahren trägt Mundschutz richtig. Die Anmeldung der Eheschließung ist nur in Anwesenheit der Ehewilligen und zweier erwachsener Trauzeugen zulässig; Beamter oder Angestellter des Standesamtes muss über eine Covid-19-Impf- oder Genesungsbescheinigung verfügen; anwesende Personen müssen Gesichtsmasken ordnungsgemäß verwenden; sowie alle Sicherheitsvorkehrungen beachten. Trauerfeiern können im Freien stattfinden; bis zu 20 Personen können sich zu einer Trauerfeier versammeln; die Zahl von 20 Personen umfasst keine Personen, die mit der Durchführung der Trauerfeier in Verbindung stehen; jeder ab 7 Jahren trägt Mundschutz richtig. Ein privates FAHRZEUG kann Mitglieder eines Haushalts oder zwei Personen befördern; jeweils aus dem eigenen Haushalt. Bis zu drei Personen aus mehreren Haushalten nur in besonderen Fällen (z. B. bei Begleitung eines Minderjährigen). Nur bestimmte Gruppen können zusammen in einem Privatfahrzeug reisen; zum Arbeits- oder Dienstort gehen; oder Rückkehrer an den Wohnort (z. B. Ärzte oder Mitarbeiter der Polizei); Jeder muss während der gesamten Reise Gesichtsmasken tragen. Im Algemeinen; Menschen werden ermutigt, sich nicht zu versammeln und keine Personen außerhalb des eigenen Haushalts zu treffen. ; 01.03.2022 Hochzeiten; Beerdigungen; Taufen sind mit bis zu 250 Personen erlaubt. Die Personenzahl bei privaten Veranstaltungen im Innen- und Außenbereich steigt auf 50 Personen.

05.07.2021 Restaurants können Speisen im Freien (auf einer Terrasse) unter Einhaltung strenger sozialer Distanzierungsmaßnahmen servieren - 2 Meter zwischen den Tischen; Personal mit Masken; nicht mehr als zwei Haushalte; bis zu 10 Personen insgesamt am Tisch. Restaurants können zwischen 06:00 und 21:00 Uhr geöffnet sein.; 15.06.2021 Innendienste sind für Personen erlaubt, die geimpft oder infiziert wurden oder einen negativen Schnell-/PCR-Test haben. ; 10.11.2021 Dienstleistungen sollten nur in einer epidemiologisch sicheren Umgebung sowohl im Innen- als auch im Außenbereich erbracht werden; Das bedeutet, dass der Dienstleister und der Besucher über einen gültigen COVID-19-Impfpass oder einen Infektionsnachweis verfügen sollten. Die maximale Personenzahl an jedem Tisch sollten 4 mit einem Abstand von 3 Metern zwischen den Tischen sein. Die Arbeitszeiten sind 6.00 - 21.00. ; 21.10.21 Das Catering kann rund um die Uhr arbeiten, um Speisen zum Abholen oder Liefern bereitzustellen. Am Ort der Leistungserbringung sind pro Person mindestens 15 m2 in Innenräumen vorzuhalten. Alle Personen müssen einen Abstand von 2 m einhalten und Mund-Nasen-Schutz ordnungsgemäß tragen. Der Besuch einer 24-Stunden-Verpflegungsstelle, um zwischen 20:00 und 5:00 Uhr eine Mahlzeit zum Mitnehmen zu holen, ist kein triftiger Grund, den Wohnort zu verlassen, es sei denn, die Person ist im Dienst oder erfüllt abends Arbeitsaufgaben vor Ort und nachts. Die Nutzung des Essenslieferdienstes wird nach Möglichkeit empfohlen. ; 12.07.2021 Es dürfen nicht mehr als vier Erwachsene mit Minderjährigen am selben Tisch sitzen; aber nicht mehr als 10 Personen zusammen.; 23.12.2021 An Silvester; nur Personen mit einem Covid-19-Impf- oder Krankheitsnachweis; die streng kontrolliert wird; können Catering-Dienstleistungen persönlich erbringen und entgegennehmen. Es ist auch eine Bedingung, dass nicht mehr als 4 Erwachsene und ihre begleitenden Kinder am selben Tisch sitzen dürfen; aber nicht mehr als 10 Personen insgesamt. Kinder unter 12 Jahren müssen nicht zertifiziert werden; während Kinder unter 12 Jahren ein negatives Covid-19-Testzertifikat oder einen Schulscreeningtest haben müssen, der weniger als 72 Stunden alt ist. Dienstleister müssen einen Abstand von mindestens 2 Metern zwischen Personen sicherstellen, die an verschiedenen Tischen sitzen, wenn keine Trennwände vorhanden sind. Other indoor sports training may take place only individually or in pairs with a coach; while group training for up to 10 people may only take place outdoors. There will also be stricter requirements for sports activities ; where indoor sports will still be allowed only individually or one-on-one with a coach. 12/05/2020 It will be possible to organize non-contact sports trainings or classes in person; observing the following conditions: no more than 25 people may gather in one training group at the same time; indoor training time - three hours; outdoors - an unlimited period of time; the class shall be led by a certified coach; a mutual distance of two meters has to be observed; the areas of different training groups should not physically overlap; children under the age of seven do not participate in training; instructions of the manager of the sports venue and the coach should be followed; other physical distancing and epidemiological safety measures which will be developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health have to be observed.

In order to implement the basic principle of the provision of information, a provider of an economic or public service or an organiser of an event shall place the following information on precautionary measures in a clearly visible place: 5.1. a warning that persons for whom self-isolation, home quarantine, or isolation has been specified or who display signs of a respiratory disease may not be present at the relevant site; 5.2. a warning that a two-metre distance must be maintained, and also regarding other distancing conditions, if such have been specified; 5.3. the conditions for correct hand and respiratory hygiene. As of 25 May, Entertainment, cultural, sports, and other recreational places may be open from 6.30 to 24.00. Bars, restaurants, cafés are allowed to operate, subject to the rules and limiting the number of visitors to no more than two persons or one family at one table. From now on, all stores will be open in shopping centres during weekends and holidays. The restriction that only grocery stores, press outlets, pharmacies, vaccination offices, optical stores, animal feed stores, dry-cleaner’s, hygiene and household goods stores, and construction and gardening goods stores may operate in shopping centres is cancelled. Previously, it shall be determined that cultural, entertainment, outdoor sports and other recreational areas start work not earlier than at 8.00 and finish before 22.00;

From 10 October 2020 to 31 December 2020, the number of persons present at the same time at public event sites or sites where economic services are provided shall not exceed: 14.1. 500 persons in indoor spaces; 14.2. 1000 persons in outdoor spaces. [9 October 2020; 13 October 2020] 14.1 From 17 October 2020 to 31 December 2020, the number of persons present at the same time at private events shall not exceed: 14.1 1. 30 persons in indoor spaces; 14.1 2. 300 persons in outdoor spaces. Open as of 11 Aug. with limitation of 2m distance, upon organising events, the duration of the event shall be limited. At event sites or sites where economic services are provided, the number of persons present there at the same time shall not exceed: 14.1. 1000 persons in indoor spaces; 14.2. 3000 persons in outdoor spaces. 15. When organising an event or providing an economic service: 15.1. it shall be ensured that not more than 50 % of the total number of persons allowed by the area and infrastructure of the event site or site where the economic service is provided are present on the event site or site where the economic service is provided; 15.2. at least 3 m2 of the area of the event site or site where the economic service is provided shall be provided in indoor premises per person; 15.3. the organiser of the event or the provider of the economic service shall ensure information available to the public on the maximum number of persons allowed at the event site or site where the economic service is provided. The organizer has to ensure compliance with restrictions and the availability of disinfectants. The working hours of culture, entertainment, sports, and other recreation places will be extended from 7:00 to 24:00. Public and private sports events, organized in accordance with the Law on Safety of Public Entertainment and Festivity Events, will not be permitted. Previously, All public events, meetings, demonstrations and pickets involving more than 200 people shall be cancelled and banned from 13 March 2020. From 19 March, Working hours of cultural, entertainment, sports and recreational venues may still extend no later than 23:00, and now their opening time has also been restricted to no earlier than 8:00. All tours abroad offered by tourism operators and passenger carriers have been cancelled.
