First confirmed case in Poland - 04.03. Conditions of the isolation of the infected patients are described in the Regulation of the Minister of Heatlh of 6 April 2020 on hospitalisation; isolation; quarantine and epidemiological surveillance. In case of the onset of symptoms; they need to contact by phone a sanitary-epidemiological station. People under quarantine use a government app that tracks their location. ; 2/09/2020 The quarantine period was shortened from 14 to 10 days. No need for testing of non-symptomatic persons. In case of symptoms; the isolation should last a minimum of 13 days from the onset. ; 15/9/2020 Citizens of the Republic of Belarus entering Poland are not quarantined.

Home Medical Care Programme for COVID-19 confirmed cases. Patients covered by the Home Medical Care program will be subject to remote monitoring of parameters; including arterial blood oxygen saturation; heart rate; temperature and disease symptoms. The program will use the pulse oximeter as a diagnostic tool and the PulsoCare application for data transfer and monitoring. Consultants and doctors will monitor the results of patient measurements and will call the Ambulance Service if necessary. All cases over 55 years old are automatically registered to the system. Patients below 55 years old can be referred to the programme by their GP or can register themselves on the website.

28/12/2020: all travellers entering the country; regardless nationality; crossing external and internal borders of the EU using mass transportation; i.e. bus with more than 7 passengers; vessels; trains; planes; have to be home-quarantined at their place of destination for 10 days. People providing certificate of vaccination are exempted. (There are 27 other categories of exceptions which incl. among others: crews of planes; vessels; trains and buses; drivers of the commercial transport and cargo; PL and allies officers on duty of military; police; state administration; etc.; officers of international organisations and diplomats (incl. families); and with justifying certificates: researchers; sportsmen; and students of PL schools/universities.).; 30/03/2021: COVID-19 negative tests performed in non-Schengen area are not recognised. Travelers coming from non-Schengen have to be quarantined and tested in 48 hours. Negative test releases from quarantine. Travelers from India; Brasil and South Africa can be tested after 7 days - the negative test before the arrival does not release from the quarantine.; 09/07/2021 Travelers from Great Britain; Northern Ireland and outside the Schengen Area and the EEA can only be tested and released after 7 days.; 17/7/2021 A person crossing the state border of Poland by plane should fill in the traveller's location card before checking in. 19/8/2021 Travelers from Northern Ireland are able to be released from quarantine up to 48 hours after crossing the border if they provide a negative test; in case they do not have the necessary documents during their entrance into the country. Only those arriving from countries outside EU-Schengen-Turkey are obliged to quarantine for 7 days. ;28/03/2022 From March 28; 2022; all travel restrictions are lifted.

Reisende aus Indien; Brasilien und Südafrika können nach 7 Tagen getestet werden - der negative Test vor der Einreise entbindet nicht aus der Quarantäne.; 07.09.2021 Reisende aus Großbritannien; Nordirland und außerhalb des Schengen-Raums und des EWR können erst nach 7 Tagen getestet und freigegeben werden.; 17.7.2021 Eine Person, die die Staatsgrenze Polens mit dem Flugzeug überquert, sollte vor dem Check-in die Aufenthaltskarte des Reisenden ausfüllen. 19.8.2021 Reisende aus Nordirland können bis zu 48 Stunden nach dem Grenzübertritt aus der Quarantäne entlassen werden wenn sie einen negativen Test liefern; falls sie bei ihrer Einreise nicht über die erforderlichen Dokumente verfügen. Nur diejenigen, die aus Ländern außerhalb der EU-Schengen-Türkei einreisen, müssen sich für 7 Tage in Quarantäne begeben. ;28.03.2022 ab 28. März; 2022; Alle Reisebeschränkungen werden aufgehoben.

Im Falle des Auftretens von Symptomen; Sie müssen sich telefonisch an eine sanitär-epidemiologische Station wenden. Personen unter Quarantäne verwenden eine Regierungs-App, die ihren Standort verfolgt. Die Beschränkung gilt nicht für Beschäftigte im Gesundheitswesen und SARS-CoV-2-negative Personen. Seit 28. Dezember 2020; die Beschränkung gilt nicht für geimpfte Personen. ; 25.01.2022 Asymptomatische Personen werden bei negativem Test nach 7 Tagen aus der Quarantäne entlassen. Ausgenommen von der Quarantäne sind Personen, die mit einer Person in Quarantäne zusammenleben; vollständig gegen COVID-19 geimpfte Personen; und Menschen, die sich von COVID-19 erholt haben; d.h. Personen, die sich mit COVID-19 infiziert haben; spätestens 6 Monate nach Erhalt eines positiven Ergebnisses eines diagnostischen Tests auf SARS-CoV-2. ; 15.02.2022 Personen, die mit der Person in Isolation leben; die die Isolation innerhalb der letzten 30 Tage selbst beendet haben, sind von der Quarantäne ausgenommen. ;28.03.2022 Ab Montag (28.03.2022); die Isolations- und Quarantänepflicht wurde abgeschafft.

Self-isolation at own accommodation- subject to category.

Travellers arriving in Poland by plane, bus, or other means of public transport, who do not provide a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen), are required to quarantine for 10 days, counting from the day following the day of entry. In addition, all travellers returning from the Czech Republic and Slovakia - also those who cross the border by car - must quarantine for 10 days. The quarantine period may be ended by taking a PCR test after arrival. If the result of this test is negative, the period of quarantine can end.

Travellers who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 are exempted from compulsory quarantine (a certificate of vaccination is needed).
