It is understood that the maximum number of persons per table cannot exceed 6 persons. -The maximum number of persons allowed to gather in houses and public places, with the exception of catering establishments, is set at 10 per house/group, inclusive of under-aged children. -Operation of catering establishments and enterprises is permitted until 10:30 p.m. Catering services are considered the following: restaurants, catering services in hotels and tourist accommodations, catering services in malls and department stores, taverns, cafeterias, pizzerias, pubs, snack-bars and bars, coffee shops, canteens and/or refectories of sports clubs, cultural clubs, associations, societies, etc. It is clarified that the above establishments may provide delivery services after 10:30 p.m. Catering services at the Airports of Larnaka and Pafos are excluded from the prohibition. -The maximum number of persons allowed in catering establishments is set to 75 persons in indoor areas and to 150 persons in outdoor areas. -The maximum number of persons per reservation/table/group in catering establishments is not to exceed 6 persons. -Church services and other form of religious worship in churches, mosques and other religious places, as well as religious ceremonies shall be performed in the presence of maximum 75 persons and according to the relevant protocols in force for the places of religious worship. -The holding of matches in sports establishments in the context of sports championships is permitted, without spectators, subject to the relevant protocols. -The operation of children’s playgrounds is permitted, with a maximum number of 50 persons in indoor playgrounds and 150 persons in outdoor playgrounds, subject to the social distancing measures in force based on the square metres of each establishment. It is understood that organizing events at playgrounds (e.g. children’s birthday parties) with more than 10 persons – including adults and children - per event is forbidden. -The use of changing rooms in gyms is forbidden. The following measures are put into effect on an island-wide basis until the 2nd November 2020: - Attendance at house gatherings and public assembly places, excluding catering establishments, is allowed with a maximum number of 10 persons per house/group, including underage children. - Church services, as well as religious ceremonies, shall be performed according to the instructions of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus. - The holding of matches in sport premises, in the context of athletic championships, is allowed without spectators being present, provided the relevant protocols are applied. - The maximum number of persons allowed to be served in catering establishments is set at 75 persons in indoor areas and 150 persons in outdoor areas. The measure that continues to be in force is that of maintaining social distancing of 3 sq.m. in each case for indoor areas and 2 sq.m. for outdoor areas per person, regardless of the square metre area of each establishment. Provided that in each case no more than 10 persons may occupy a single table. - Cocktail parties and well-wishing ceremonies at weddings and christenings are prohibited. Physical presence is only allowed at lunch or dinner with a maximum number of 350 persons attending. - The holding of events, such as conferences, day-events, assemblies, concerts, theatre performances, dance or music performances, etc., is allowed in both closed and open venues, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health. - The functioning is allowed of Indoor and open-air cinemas, theatres and performance halls at 50% capacity. - Retail businesses of drinks and food (bakeries, supermarkets, mini-markets etc.) and pharmacies shall only serve persons included in the vulnerable groups of the populations between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. In addition to the above, and due to the deterioration of the epidemiological picture and the increased epidemiological load in the city and district of Lemesos, the following measures have been decided until 26 October 2020: - The functioning of catering establishments (cafeterias, bars, restaurants, snack-bars, etc.) is allowed until 10.30 p.m. - It is strongly recommended that members of the public restrict their movement after 11.30 p.m. In addition to the above measures, it is recalled that by a Decree of the Health Minister the use of facemask by the general population, aged 12 years and above, is mandatory for all in closed, indoor areas as described in the instruction issued by the Ministry of Health. Extended duration of contingency measures in force in the District of Larnaca In the follow up to the additional contingency measures that came into effect for Larnaca District as of 23 September 2020, the Ministry of Health announces that by a Minister of Health Decree today, the validity of the measures is renewed until midnight, October 14: - Individuals are permitted to attend gatherings in houses and public meeting areas, with the exception of catering places, not exceeding a maximum number of 10 persons per house/group, including under age children. - Mass attendance and other forms of religious worship in churches, mosques and other religious places, as well as religious ceremonies, shall be performed with a maximum number of 75 persons, subject to the protocols in force for places of religious worship. - The holding of matches in the sports venues of Larnaca District in the context of athletic championships, is allowed without the presence of spectators, provided that the relevant protocols are observed. - The maximum number of persons allowed to be served in catering establishments in Larnaca District is set at 75 for indoor spaces and 150 for outdoor spaces. For example, if a catering establishment in the Larnaca District has an outdoor area of 400 sq.m. and on the basis of maintaining a 2 sq.m. distance per person it could serve up to 200 persons, the number of customers may not exceed 150 persons. If an establishment has a 300 sq.m. indoor area and on the basis of maintaining a 3 sq.m. distance per person it could serve up to 100 persons, the number of persons may not exceed 75.
