If you have been contacted by a positive person; and you have been in close contact with them: 1. stay in isolation 2. contact your GP; who may refer you for a check-up and get a sick note 3. in case of signs of the disease; ask for an examination 4. wait for instructions from the relevant regional health authority.

Slovakia's government has announced to test its entire population for COVID-19; to give those with negative results exemptions of some lockdown restrictions; 27/04/2021: People testing positive to COVID should report their close contacts. The Regional Public Health Authority will automatically get in touch with the contacts; 07/12/2021: While the tracing infrastructure was greatly expanded during the pandemic; the chief public health official admitted in the summer that they have only limited capacity to trace all contacts; 29/12/2021: People who test positive are asked to tell their doctor and anyone they have been in close contact with; in the 2 days before symptom onset; 23/01/2022: If you test positive; you must: - contact your GP - contact everyone with whom you have been in close contact for the last 14 days; telling them to remain in domestic isolation and get tested.

09/03/2020: Citizens returning from Italy; China; South Korea and Iran must observe a 14-day quarantine at home; 19/03/2020: Isolation in the home environment for 14 days for all persons living in Slovakia for more than 90 days coming from abroad; 20/07/2020: Persons coming to Slovakia and at any time during the 14 days before their arrival they have visited a country not on the list of low-risk countries; upon arrival in Slovakia they must move to home isolation; and on the 5th day after arrival; take a test for COVID-19. Persons arriving from less risky countries no longer have to undergo a test for COVID-19; nor do they have to remain in home isolation; 04/08/2020: Those entering Slovakia must complete registration form and present negative COVID-19 test not older than 96 hours upon arrival and stay in home isolation for minimum 5 days until the new COVID-19 test is taken; 06/08/2020: International arrivals from any country categorised as 'low risk' by the Slovakian Ministry of Foreign Affairs may enter without quarantine. Those who have spent any of the past 14 days in a country not classified as 'low risk' must self-isolate upon arrival until a negative test is presented; 01/09/2020: If you have visited an EU country not mentioned on the list of less-risky countries: You are obliged to self-isolate and if you have symptoms; you are obliged to get tested for COVID-19 on the 5th day of your self-isolation. If you are asymptomatic; your self-isolation is completed after your 10-day self-isolation period is over. If you have visited a country which is not an EU member and is not mentioned on the list of less-risky countries: You are obliged to self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19 on the 5th day of self-isolation; 16/11/2020: Slovakia adopted the ECDC methodology to deem countries risky and less risky; meaning there are now stricter measures at the borders as all of its EU neighbours are considered red. If you travel from another country; you are obliged to go to isolation; 11/01/2021: If you are entering Slovakia; without a negative result of an RT-PCR test and in the last 14 days you have visited EU countries; Iceland; Norway; Liechtenstein or Switzerland; you must undergo home isolation. If you are entering Slovakia and in the last 14 days you have visited other countries (including the UK); you must undergo home isolation; 17/02/2021: all travellers are obliged to enter a 14-day home isolation and get a RT-PCR test on day 8; 22/03/2021: new decree tightening the regime for people who have overcome the disease and for people vaccinated with a second dose of the vaccine more than 14 days ago. In the event that one of the exceptions does not apply to these persons; after returning from abroad they will be obliged to enter isolation with the possibility of undergoing an RT-PCR test on the 8th day after entry; 19/04/2021: Persons who have visited EU countries; Iceland; Norway; Liechtenstein; Switzerland or the UK during the previous 14 days and can provide evidence for vaccination or recovery must go to isolation which; if the person is asymptomatic; may end on day 14 or with a negative RT-PCR test; 26/04/2021: People are required to enter home isolation until receiving a negative result of the RT-PCR test and take a test on the 8th day of home isolation. For those travelling from an EU country; Iceland; Norway; Liechtenstein; Switzerland or the UK and are asymptomatic; home isolation ends on the 14th day; even without a negative PCR test . For those travelling from a country outside the EU; they must stay in isolation until they receive a negative test result; 14/06/2021: No quarantine for arrivals from a Green country or a neighbouring state and upon indication of a negative RT-PCR test not older than 72 hours. Quarantine is also not mandatory for vaccinated; 21/06/2021: Quarantine for people who have visited in the previous 14 days only countries in the Green List that may end without a test and in an asymptomatic course on day 14 or with a negative RT-PCR test. Same applies to people who have visited Red countries and have not visited any Black countries; but a negative RT-PCR test result must be performed on day 8. For vaccinated/recovered persons coming from a Red country; mandatory quarantine. Quarantine for people who have visited Black countries; that may end on day 14; if asymptomatic; and a negative RT-PCR test on day 8 (the 14-day quarantine must be respected; even with a negative test); 19/07/2021: All unvaccinated people entering Slovakia must enter self-isolation; which ends; in case of asymptomatic course and without testing on the 14th day. Fully vaccinated people have to be able to prove their vaccination status. They do not need to enter self-isolation; 01/12/2021: All persons who enter Slovakia are obliged to undergo isolation in a home environment or in a quarantine accommodation until the time of receiving a negative result of the RT-PCR test and; if the course of isolation is asymptomatic; until the end on the 10th day of this isolation. Persons who have visited the Republic of South Africa; Botswana; Namibia; Lesotho; Eswatini; Mozambique; Zimbabwe; Israel; Hong Kong or the Seychelles in the last 14 days must start the quarantine; which will end if the person is asymptomatic on day 14 or by receiving two negative RT-PCR tests; 01/01/2022: Fully vaccinated travellers do not need to quarantine; however; they must carry proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated and partially-vaccinated travellers must self-quarantine for 10 days or apply for a COVID-19 test on the 5th day of quarantine; and if the test result is negative the self-quarantine can end; 06/04/2022: all COVID-19 requirements for entry to Slovakia are cancelled; regardless of vaccination status.

Für diejenigen, die ein Land besucht haben, das nicht auf der Liste der weniger riskanten Länder steht; innerhalb von 14 Tagen vor der Ankunft muss isoliert und innerhalb von 5 Tagen nach der Ankunft getestet werden; 20.07.2020: Aus grünen Ländern: 14-tägige Heimquarantäne; kt. terminierbar neg. RT-PCR-Test oder Antigentest bei der Ankunft. Aus roten Ländern: 14-tägige Heimquarantäne; kt. terminierbar neg. RT-PCR-Test frühestens am 8. Tag. Aus schwarzen Ländern: 14-tägige häusliche Quarantäne; unabhängig vom Ergebnis des RT-PCR-Tests ab Tag 8. Ausnahmen: gelten in allen Fällen; 16.11.2020: Personen, die aus EU-Ländern außerhalb der sogenannten Grünen Liste in die Slowakei einreisen, müssen sich bis zum Erhalt eines negativen Ergebnisses eines RT-PCR-Tests in Isolation begeben. Als Alternative zur Isolierung; Personen können ein negatives Ergebnis eines RT-PCR-Tests nicht älter als 72 Stunden nachweisen; 26.11.2020: Befreiung von der Isolationspflicht; vorbehaltlich der Vorlage eines negativen PCR-Tests, der nicht älter als 72 Stunden ist, gilt für EU-/EWR-Staaten und die Schweiz; 01.12.2020: Wenn Sie aus einem EU-Land einreisen; Liechtenstein; Großbritannien oder der Schweiz und gleichzeitig können Sie nachweisen, dass Sie die Krankheit nicht länger als 3 Monate vor der Einreise überstanden haben; Eine Isolierung ist nicht erforderlich. Wenn Sie aus einem EU-Land einreisen; Liechtenstein; Großbritannien oder Schweiz; ohne negativen RT-PCR-Test; Sie müssen sich in Isolation begeben. Wenn Sie aus Australien anreisen; China; Finnland; Irland; Island; Japan; Südkorea; Norwegen; Neuseeland; Singapur oder Taiwan; Sie müssen nicht isoliert bleiben. Wenn Sie aus einem anderen Land anreisen; Sie sind verpflichtet, sich in Isolation zu begeben; 01.11.2021: Bei Rückkehr aus EU-Staaten; Island; Norwegen; Liechtenstein und Schweiz - Verpflichtung zur Isolierung, die mit einem negativen RT-PCR-Test oder am 10. Tag ohne Symptome beendet werden kann. Ausnahmen gelten. Bei der Rückkehr aus Hochrisikoländern – Isolation zu Hause mit Mitgliedern des gemeinsamen Haushalts und am 5. Tag getestet werden; 17.02.2021: Die Liste der sicheren/weniger riskanten Länder wird abgeschafft - alle Reisenden müssen sich in eine 14-tägige häusliche Isolation begeben und sich am 8. Tag einem RT-PCR-Test unterziehen; 22.03.2021: Die Quarantänebefreiung für geimpfte und von COVID-19 genesene Personen wird aufgehoben. Auch diese Personen müssen sich in die obligatorische 14-tägige Quarantäne begeben; 19.04.2021: Personen, die EU-Länder besucht haben; Island; Norwegen; Liechtenstein; die Schweiz oder das Vereinigte Königreich während der letzten 14 Tage und Nachweise für eine Impfung oder Genesung vorlegen können, die sich in Isolation begeben müssen; wenn die Person asymptomatisch ist; kann am 14. Tag oder mit einem negativen RT-PCR-Test enden; 26.04.2021: Keine Quarantäne für bestimmte Personen; B. Personen mit ständigem oder vorübergehendem Aufenthalt in einem Nachbarstaat im Umkreis von 100 Kilometern. 14.06.2021: Keine Quarantäne bei Einreisenden aus einem Grünen Land oder einem Nachbarstaat und bei Hinweis auf einen negativen RT-PCR-Test nicht älter als 72 Stunden. Quarantäne ist auch nicht obligatorisch für Geimpfte; 21.06.2021: Quarantäne für Personen, die in den vorangegangenen 14 Tagen nur Länder der Grünen Liste besucht haben, die ohne Test und in asymptomatischem Verlauf am 14. Tag oder mit negativem RT-PCR-Test enden können. Gleiches gilt für Personen, die rote Länder besucht haben und keine schwarzen Länder besucht haben; aber an Tag 8 muss ein negatives RT-PCR-Testergebnis durchgeführt werden. Für geimpfte/genesene Personen aus einem roten Land; vorgeschriebene Quarantäne. Quarantäne für Personen, die schwarze Länder besucht haben; das kann am 14. Tag enden; wenn asymptomatisch; und ein negativer RT-PCR-Test am 8. Tag (die 14-tägige Quarantäne muss eingehalten werden; auch bei negativem Test); 07.09.2021: Personen ab 18 Jahren müssen sich in eHranica registrieren; mit einer Auswahl von drei Optionen: i) vollständig geimpfte Personen müssen nicht in häusliche Isolation gehen ii) geimpfte Personen mit mindestens der ersten Dosis müssen nicht in häusliche Isolation gehen iii) ungeimpfte Personen; wenn sie die Voraussetzungen für eine Befreiung nicht erfüllen; muss sich einer obligatorischen häuslichen Isolation unterziehen; 19.07.2021: Vollständig geimpfte Personen sind von der häuslichen Isolation ausgenommen. Es gilt eine neue Definition für geimpfte Personen; 15.10.2021: Die Regeln für die Einreise in die Slowakei und die anschließende häusliche Isolierung werden nach dem Alter der Person und aufgrund anderer Bedingungen differenziert; 25.11.2021: Wenn Sie aus einem Risikoland kommen; Sie müssen sich über das eBorder-Formular registrieren. Wenn Sie eine SMS mit positivem Ergebnis erhalten haben; Sie unterliegen der obligatorischen Quarantäne. Sie dürfen die Quarantäne nicht früher als 10 Tage nach der Abholung oder früher als 10 Tage nach Auftreten der ersten Symptome beenden; 30.11.2021: Personen, die die Republik Südafrika besucht haben; Botswana; Namibia; Lesotho; Eswatini; Mosambik; Zimbabwe; Israel; Hongkong oder die Seychellen in den letzten 14 Tagen und die ab dem 1. Dezember 2021 in die Slowakei einreisen, müssen die Quarantäne beginnen; die endet, wenn die Person an Tag 14 asymptomatisch ist oder zwei negative RT-PCR-Tests erhält. Für Kinder unter 12 Jahren gelten andere Regeln; 02.04.2022: Für alle Personen, die in die Slowakei einreisen; eine Quarantäne wird verhängt; endet mit einem asymptomatischen Verlauf der Quarantäne am Tag 5 oder mit einem negativen RT-PCR-Test. Ausnahmen gelten; 16.02.2022: Die obligatorische Quarantäne nach der Einreise in die Slowakei gilt nicht für Personen aus einem Nachbarstaat, in dem sie während eines nationalen oder internationalen bewaffneten Konflikts unmittelbar bedroht wurden.; 04.06.2022: Keine Quarantäne mehr erforderlich.

Selbstisolation in eigener Unterkunft.

Die Einreisebeschränkungen wegen COVID-19 wurden aufgehoben. Reisende können unabhängig von ihrem Impfstatus oder dem Land, aus dem sie kommen, in das Hoheitsgebiet der Slowakischen Republik einreisen. Es gelten keine weiteren Einschränkungen.

Self-isolation at own accommodation.

All travellers arriving by land or air must complete a 14-day quarantine. The quarantine period may be shortened by taking a second RT-PCR test no less than 8 days after arrival. If the result of this test is negative, the period of quarantine can end.
